Based on a safety PLC, it expands the ES control to include the following functions:
a) Set-up mode
When the two-hand buttons are pressed simultaneously (0.5 s), the press moves down. After reaching bottom dead center, the press remains there until the two-hand buttons are pressed again.
b) Two-hand operation with holding time
When the two-hand buttons are pressed simultaneously (0.5 s), the press moves down. If a “tool closed” sensor is attached, the buttons can be released once bottom dead center is reached. The press remains at bottom dead center until the end of the configurable holding time, and then automatically moves up again. The “tool closed” sensor complies with EN 16092-4 2020:12 and is included in the scope of delivery. It must be installed by the customer in a manner that ensures it is actuated when the tool is closed. The sensor is monitored dynamically.
c) Electronic piece counter with LED backlight
Each press stroke is counted; the counter is available in a resettable or non-resettable version.
d) 5 additional inputs
e.g. for the use of light curtain, safety housing, pressforce-monitoring system, additional sensors…
The control includes an external acknowledge button. OK and NOK Signals can be processed during the production.
