We differentiate between two customized and thus low-cost GECHTER press force monitoring systems

MS00 Press force monitoring system Force-displacement measuring system

The new MS00 system can be used with all manual and pneumatic GECHTER presses. Of course, it is also compatible with all third party manual toggle presses generally available on the market.

The force-displacement measuring system MS00 - Press inserting and assembling processes do not always require a graphic display of the force-displacement diagram.We offer the MS00 forcedisplacement measuring system to perform this task. A force and an optional displacement sensor can be connected to this measuring system. A lower and an upper threshold can be set both for force and displacement, so that the measured force-displacement diagram must end within the frame defined by these thresholds. If this prerequisite is given, the workpieceis “OK“, which is indicated by a green LED. A part that is “NOT OK“ is indicated by a red LED and a buzzer, and must be acknowledged via keystroke.These signals can also be tapped on a socket at the device. External acknowledgment is possible.The measured values are displayed on a two-line LCD. The parameters required for the measurement (e.g. calibration values of the sensors or the thresholds mentioned above) can be set via a simple menu. Counters for good/bad/total parts are integrated in the device. A Press Motion Control for manual toggle presses can be activated via the MS00 outputs. Use the MS00 measuring results to control the further motion sequence of the operating personnel with the utmost efficiency.

Preconditions:
- If the measuring results are correct, the motion sequence must not be interfered with.
- If the measuring results are incorrect, the motion sequence has to be interrupted and the operator must be
- instructed to recognize bad parts and to remove them from the manufacturing process.

PC software is available for setup. It allows the transfer of parameters from or to the measuring system, as well as the display and archiving of the currently measured force-displacement diagram. The use of the USB interface allows operating several measuring devices from one PC.

The force-displacement or force-time-dependent press force monitoring in linear acting GECHTER presses with two-hand safety control.
