HMS, manual toggle press with press force monitoring (force-only or
force-displacement).
The manually operated toggle presses with press force monitoring HMS are
in accordance with the standard manual toggle presses type 5 HKPV, type
8/12 HKPV and type 8/16 HKPV. The following package of components is
added to the basic machine to generate a press of type HMS:
1. a digital display unit MS00A with adjustable displacement and
force thresholds, and an attachment housing 1.
with support foot
2. a force sensor (measuring range according to press force), integrated
into the press ram
3. a PFE fine tuning device
4. a USB cable
5. PC software (starter version) without graphic display (supplied on
USB flash drive)
6. a displacement sensor for additional displacement measuring
(optional)

Control for manual toggle presses
Use the MS00 measuring results to control the continuous work
movement of the operating personnel with the utmost efficiency.
Preconditions:
- If the measuring results are correct, the work movement must not
be disturbed, and the lever must be
- operated quickly in the manufacturing
process.
- If the measuring results are incorrect, the work movement must be
interrupted and the operator instructed - to
recognize bad parts and remove them from the manufacturing process.
A practical example:
Directly after the beginning of the compression operation by using the
hand lever, a mechanical blockade keeps the press from opening again.
On the basis of the measured values, a press inserting process is
classified as NOT OK by the MS00 measuring system.
The GECHTER MS00 system offers the following instructions for the
operator:
A An acoustic signal is audible. After acknowledgment by the operator
the non-return stroke
A mechanism gets approved and the production process
can be resumed.
B An acoustic signal is audible. The non-return-stroke mechanism
gets approved,
B the following assembly gets avoid by a blockade of the
pressure stroke.
B After acknowledgment by the operator,
the production process can be resumed.
C If the components are highly sensitive, an acknowledgment
function can optionally be activated with a key
C switch. The key switch is operated by
a superior member of staff to enable the further work process. At
C the same time, the controlled
treatment of the “bad part “ is also ensured.
HMC, manual toggle press including press force monitoring (force-displacement)

Press Motion Control (mechanical module) and control electronics are
integrated into the display unit and added to the HMS components

Note:
For the types HMS + HMC, a center offset eccentricity of the holding
fixture bore forward is existing. The daylight is lower compared with
the basic machines. See relevant table.
